In the current market context, what were the main challenges you faced in 2024, and what were the most important achievements?
2024 was a year of great challenges, marked by a general caution in investments both in the national and international markets. In this context, our main challenge was to stay at the forefront by focusing on the development of innovative and distinctive technologies, recognized as unique in the large-format digital print finishing sector.
Our innovation focused on the range of laminators and automatic cutters, achieving results that were rewarded with very positive feedback. In particular, we filed five patents for the new automatic cutter for digitally printed wallpaper, giving us a competitive advantage that will bear fruit in 2025.
We also strengthened collaborations with industrial production partners to meet the growing demand for automation in printing and cutting processes.
Which product lines are you working on and planning to prioritize in the coming year?
We are concentrating our efforts on the range of solutions for cutting flexible materials, with particular attention to the redesign of the automatic XY cutters line. This year, we developed a new automatic XY cutter for wallpaper, the Miura Katana, which, with its five filed patents, solves the issue of annoying “white lines” visible at the junction points of the cut panels.
Its cutting-edge performance eliminates waste, errors, and operator stress, making it an indispensable tool for those striving for perfection in every project.
Building on the new technologies and design of the Miura Katana, next year we will promote a new range of automatic cutters enriched with additional innovations to meet the needs of an ever-evolving market.
What services or activities do you have planned for 2025 to engage and retain your customers?
In 2025, we aim to work closely with our network of resellers in Italy and abroad to strengthen customer relationships. We will support them in organizing local events for end customers and actively participate in live demonstrations using our equipment to highlight the benefits of Flexa solutions.
We will also continue with training and updating activities for our resellers through the Flexa Academy. We believe it is essential to create learning environments and dedicated moments of continuous exchange of experiences and knowledge to enhance our service and product offering.
The training will be both technical and commercial, involving our partners in a 360° approach, enabling them to provide personalized and high-quality services, thus helping to consolidate customer trust and satisfaction.
ESG criteria (environmental, social, and governance sustainability) are increasingly central to companies' development strategies. What actions have you taken in this regard?
This year, we continued the journey started in 2023 by concretely evaluating possible actions to integrate ESG criteria into our company. We are still considering what is feasible for our reality.
We continued to invest in the digitalization of internal processes, including order management, logistics, and vertical warehousing, to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Additionally, we adopt daily behaviors, even at an individual level, aimed at a more sustainable future.
2024 was the year of drupa. Did you find that this event positively influenced new investments?
The drupa 2024 event was a crucial global showcase for presenting the most innovative technologies in our industry. The visibility and interest generated by the event motivated us to further invest in the development of a new technology for wallpaper cutting.
This encouragement allowed us to offer increasingly high-performing solutions aligned with the expectations of professionals.
